The BuckMaster 2.0 is a 40th anniversary modern interpretation of the original Buckmaster, that pays tribute to its military roots, but specifically serves as a tactically designed dive knife. With this purpose in mind, every aspect of the BuckMaster 2.0 was manufactured to excel multi-functionally in the water and backed by the expert guidance of Commander D.T. Coulter and the historical authority of Rich Neyman.
The BuckMaster 2.0 is heat treated to match or exceed the hardness properties of 425M (the steel used in the original BuckMaster). This is the first time the BOS logo has been used on 420HC blades.
Great care was taken in the design of the knife to ensure that, with proper care, rust will not occur.
We used 420HC as it has the highest corrosion resistance of knife steels that Buck uses (other than Magnacut which wasn't in production at the time). As a dive knife, it can be field stripped for proper cleaning/drying. Cera Kote coating adds additional corrosion resistance.
The anchor wing can be inserted through the Kydex scabbard once it is removed from the nylon backer. The scabbard protects the sharpened edge from damage when used as an anchor and also protects the user.
